The Supersonic
70s’ are a six piece live band, featuring
the incredible ‘Cat suited wonder-girl’
Janey Bombshell, one of the finest female
singers in the UK. Janey adds some real
‘Agnetha glamour’ alongside co-lead vocalist
Mark Keen, the ‘velvet voiced’ singing
sensation with the moves to match! The top
flight band of musicians alongside have a
wealth of experience Worldwide and include
guitarist/vocalist Greg Hart, who has played
and written for Asia, Mike Oldfield and
Donna Summer, former Ultravox and Danni
Minogue bassist - Gary Williams and the
wizardry of musical director and
keyboardist/Vocoder Andy Stewart, who is the
grandson of the late great Arthur Askey!
Completing the line-up is Andy Fox, a
drummer who has played with Thin Lizzy’s
Brian Robertson.
Since 2011 the show has toured constantly
throughout the UK, and they have whipped up
a ‘Seventies sea of nostalgia’ to ecstatic
fans wherever they play. Where the women
sing along to every word, and the men ‘air
guitar’ at will, it really is one huge 70s
party, and everyone is up and dancing in the
aisles. Yes it is that kind of show, which
has been described by many venues as the
‘finest 70s show in years’, with Janey's
extraordinary vocals in particular being
described as ‘West End quality’.
With a set list boasting an impressive range
to suit everyone, with the emphasis on great
'hit' songs from this golden era of music.

memory lane with some of the biggest classic
hits from the 70s, many that most bands
would not dare to attempt! From the towering
majesty of ‘Queen, John Miles, The
Carpenters and ELO, the band also perform
stunning renditions of chart toppers by
10cc, Andrew Gold and Pilot. These are just
some of the highlights in this pop packed
show that also includes the ultimate ‘Pin-Up
tunes’ from David Essex, Abba, Sweet, Suzi
Quatro, Boney M, The Osmonds, David Cassidy,
Elton John, Kiki Dee, T.Rex and Olivia
Newton John, plus not forgetting the Bay
City Rollers you cannot help but join in the
fun!
The bands highly energetic and visual
presentation does not skimp on humour
either, and amongst the supreme
musicianship, fun is guaranteed with plenty
of laughs along the way in this cavalcade of
a show. With genuine 70s costumes with all
the glitz and blitz you would expect from
this colourful era of denim, satin and
leather. Completed with visuals, backdrop
and original ‘Chopper Bikes’ (stage size
allowing), this show really is not to be
missed. You may even get so see a real
‘Womble’ too...
